avoid speeding tickets...by changing lanes?

“A massive flaw in a new generation of speed cameras means motorists can avoid fines and points on their licence simply by changing lanes.”

so it looks like there is a problem with those new cameras that monitor your average speed, as long as you move lanes between them they cant track you

mind you i wouldn’t risk it myself!

and remember you need a front plate for the SPECS cameras to track you

I think the pictures have to show all of the white lines in the middle of the road, otherwise they can’t judge the speed properly. Or er… summink.

Avoid speeding tickets by spotting the ****ing cameras…They’re usually yellow and even the smaller ones are easily seen.

If you can’t see them, stop riding as you’ll be killed through crap observational skills.

I know this opens me up to ****ty little comments, but I don’t give a ****…I’m in a bad mood.

Or look on the internet and it tells you where they all are!

lol yeah true enough, bright yellow and flouresent, but surely when you miss them its because you are watching the numbers on the clocks go higher and higher

i think the point is that they spend all this money on a new system that is clearly flawed. im not saying that they should get it right every time, but a camera to track speeders that cant do its job if they should change lane? that surely makes it not fit for its designed purpose?

I don’t watch the clocks mate…I own an R1 and its pointless trying to stick to the limit

I watch for Po’ Po’ and scammeras.

I’ve kind of wondered about this too…

On my way home from work there’s a speed camera for traffic going the other way. However, if I go above 50mph (this is in a 40mph zone) I can set if off, even though there are no white lines marked on my side of the road. Now, if there are oncoming cars, that are travelling at or below 40mph, if I set the camera off do they get a fine?

Or get a inforad from datatool
As far as triggering camera when filtering. Even if you did, they could most likely not read your Number plate due to the angle and the car between you and the camera.
However it is easy for me to say as I do no longer carry a UK DL so they can’t take points of it…

Actually bad moods tend to be excellent for conversations like this.
Cut through the dross to the point
If you can’t see the cameras, you’re probably not watching the road properly
If you’re not watching the road properly, I don’t really want you on the road.
harsh, but true.
