Only asking, because I saw one pointed the other way yesterday on the A2 roadworks coming into London by the M25?
Only ones I’ve seen are front only but I did read on Pistonheads.com that newer sites now also inclide a rear facing camera to id bikes and cars with no front plate. Don’t know if it’s true but sounds like a suitable bast*rd thing they might do in the name of cash collection.
As ong as you keep to the speed limit in between the cameras you should have nothing to worry about.
Ditto.
i heard that if you change lanes before you get to the second camera it cant pickup your speed?
no idea if it’s true:)
Well I’ve been ignoring them recently, although I’d be more careful if I used the same bit of road everyday - I imagine they’d put a car out to catch those who take the mick.
Oh, and I’ll let you know if the mail contains any nasty envelopes in the next fortnight.
Does anyone know of anyone thats been done by this type of camera? I dont know of anyone, I see lots of people flying through over the speed limit yet never heard of anyone being caught with one
Interesting point, I don’t know of anybody either.
I know of someone who’s been done in a car.
The roadworks on the A2 (not the ones by the M25) have always had rear facing cameras as well as front facing, but they appear to have changed the configuration of the cameras recently and there doesn’t seem to be a pair of rear facing ones anymore. I still won’t be chancing my luck along there!
Cheers guys, I’ll just try to ease up, and join the tin cans in future. Not worth the fine.
