LB, in partnership with various suppliers and retailers are running a series of competitions to let members win numerous brilliant prizes. The competitions are set to be held at least once a month, though more may be introduced for special events. A dedicated area of the site has been set-up to list all the competitions. Check out the link at the bottom of the page for more details.
The competitions are run via the LB Text service, making it easy for members to enter competitions from wherever they are, and allow us to randomly select the winners at the end of each competition period. The competitions run from the first of the month to the end of the calendar month, with winners chosen a day or two after this period.
August’s Competition
This month competition prize is a set of Avon Viper tyres kindly donated by Essential Rubber. Rob, the very nice man who owns Essential Rubber, will provide the winner with a set Avon Viper tyres of their choice, from the Viper range to fit any bike. It doesn’t matter which bike you own, there is a whole range from ultra sport/sports, sport touring, dual sport, cruiser & touring, custom, and supermoto to choose from. This could mean a £200 pair of tyres, for nothing! Suits you sir.

Viper Xtreme AV61 & AV62
If the track is calling your name and you can’t say no, the Pro-Xtreme is the tyre to scream out of the pit-lane on. Its rubber compound is specially formulated to give you extreme grip combined with a reassuring sense of control, while the tread profile on the front is designed to enhance your bike’s steering ability.
Viper Sport / Supersport AV59 & AV60
A superb all-round performer designed with the needs of sport bikes in mind, the Sport is a sharp handler, strong gripper, and thanks to its specially formulated silica rubber compound and computer-optimised tread pattern, a marvel in the wet. Its radial carcass is constructed to give excellent stability during full-throttle acceleration and maximum reassurance when your bike’s cranked right over.
Azaro Pro-Xtreme AV 49 & AV50
With all of the latest Avon bike tyre technology, the Pro-Series is a superb balance between high performance road tyre and track day special. Stable on the straight stuff, solid through the twisties, it has outstanding wet weather roadholding. And, if that wasn’t enough, it gives tyre life you’ll need to witness yourself before you believe it.
Azaro-ST 45 & 46
An exceptionally long life is only part of the appeal of the multi-talented Azaro-ST. Aimed squarely at the sport touring market, it features excellent wet weather grip combined with the ‘feel’ you need to exploit its handling potential. Even when your bike is fully loaded the Azaro-ST remains stable and agile.
Distanzia AM43 & 44
Specially designed for larger capacity dual-sport bikes, the Distanzia has a rugged tread pattern and a rubber compound that blends excellent wet and dry roadholding with long life characteristics. A stable cruiser, the Distanzia is available with ‘S’ (112mph), ‘T’ (118mph), speed ratings for small to medium size bikes, and ‘H’ (130mph), for bigger machines.
Venom AM 41 & AM 42
Built to take the loads and handle the roads, the Venom has a specially designed tread pattern to keep noise low. It has great cornering stability, progressive turn-in and a low rolling-resistance design for long tyre life. There are reinforced sizes for bigger, high-load bikes and, unique to Avon, some sizes have the option of whitewalls for Harleys.
Venom
