attempted theft southwark theives attached lock to front wheel!!

happened to a mate

as above i presume if you cant move your bike thieves pick bike up at a time when its quieter

my mate went to a local building site and borrowed tools to remove it

how devious are thes SCUM becoming

more details please, where when etc.

^ Yup, I’d be interested.

I work in Southwark and currently have a nice secure spot under the nose of a security guard but that may change in the not too distant future.

Glad your mate has still got his wheels…

The where would be really usefull

ok heres the update

Loman Street motorcycle bay behind the court building

he works 8-5 weekdays, no weekene or lates! approx 10 days ago

I used to park there every day with no probs.

You realise you’ve just told the whole of LB where and when the bike is there, right?

He only told us that a yamaha is parked in a bike bay during the working week - that’s probably true of most parking bays in town isn’t it?

Yeah, he’s announced there’s a big Yamaha of indeterminate model/age/condition parked in a central London bike bay during normal working hours, who’d have guessed? :stuck_out_tongue:

Somehow I can’t see gangs of bike thieves running out & jumping in their white vans to act on this particular piece of intel…

original post edited ! please edit you replies!

What a useless post!

Bit like yours, no?

I was highlighting the fact yours is as bad as saying I live in Brixton and never been stabbed.

Well if you ever go to Loman street and see what I mean you might understand what I mean. Also, see what backs out onto it which will give you an idea of what security is like. Thus, my post is relevant so its not me that needs to do the growing up ;).

You are not everyone you are a single body who has been riding a very small time so remember that when you chuck your 2 pence worth in.

if you read original post properly you will see that he has dealt with it.

I suspect this is more of an act of hate rather than an attempt to steal.
The thieves put themselves at risk of becoming part of either a police sting operation or even an angry owner laying in wait with a bat.

Bit of a strange act of vandalism isn’t it? It costs them a lock for a start.

Not a strange act of vandalism at all, you can pick up a cheap lock for under £10 and cause the owner stress and of course time and energy spent which he will never get back.

Wouldn’t be my first choice (if I were that way inclined) there are plenty of free ways of f#cking up a motorbike
