I guess there’s a reason the bike bay on Highbury Crescent is always empty…

Some lovely people decided to completely shag the ignition barrel on my bike today in an attempt to start it. Fortunately (I think) the Datatool did it’s job and prevented them from actually starting it.

Only took me about three hours to get transported home and I’m sure the bill to fix it all will be big. So, from the bottom of my heart, I’d just like to thank said lovely people and express the hope that they fall from a great height at some point in their lives.

Thought I’d at least post this for info purposes on the area.

Sorry to hear this. It’s a bit of a bind really - no point claiming on insurance for damage less than about £500 (if you are fully comp), so it ends up coming out of your pocket. :frowning:

Police said more likely that it was people nicking bikes for “cash-in-transit” robberies as opposed to your archetypal hooded yoof. Maybe there’s been a spate recently.
