A good friend told me, only anecdotal I know but worth keeping an eye on
Basically they seem to think they can pull it off by banning utility works, fiddling the traffic light timings and by stopping the buses… Fat chance…
This is my favourite bit of the ‘consultation’ paper…
Translation: We’re expecting you all to bugger off out of the city and not to even bother trying to work for the 6 weeks of the games…
Translation: Don’t drive when we want to use the road…
That’s about right.
As my journey to work is down the A12, in on the A13 and into the City to London Bridge that’s me pretty much shafted for about six weeks then. 
F*cking Olympics, a financial, PR and sporting disaster in the making from the moment they said “goes to… London!!!” Arse. BTW, the consultation is now ‘closed’ so they’ve moved it here…http://www.dft.gov.uk/consultations/closed/olympicroutenetwork/
