well, its on the road, only taken me about 5 months
, went out for the first time (proper ride) today , did about 160 miles… ive got to say…what a fookin awesome bike. when i rode a mates 560 i knew then i had to have one.
it hits a ton so quickly (allegedly
) and happily cruises at 75/80 handling is truely superb although i do need to soften the front a bit. brakes are fantastic with good feel and feedback. it feels alot quicker than my 660 mainly down to the weight advantage, but the 6 speed close ratio box also makes a huge difference in the punch and feel of the bike. its the closest thing ive ridden to a 2 stroke that wasnt a 2 stroke
very snappy but no waiting for the power, its there whenever you want it, in any gear…
ive fitted a comfort seat and thank lordy! i did. cos i aint as comfy as an lc4. and with that standard seat you might aswell sit on a block of wood. fuel consumption seems to be on a par with my 660, maybe a bit better.
ive fitted all genuine ktm parts including later style clocks and 08 headlamp, and ive fitted an ignition.
ive still got a bit more to do to it before iam happy but this is just minor cosmetic changes. heres some pics.
