Yeahs I was sayin to them that i’s very bright and sunnt but exhaust wasn’t a problem and black visor. They were mostly interested in my number plate. No idea how they saw it from the front:) I think my exhaust brought their attention. But there were almost pulling every second car to check. Checking the cars inside etc. One guy pulled just in front of me was going with officers in handcuffs. So there were ther for sth.
I was just unlucky, being in wrong place, at wrong time.
Hopefully It ends up on £30 fine If not then will think what to do… Maybe export motorbike… we will see…
ah but if you reply in a good manner unlike the way you are spoken too it kinda throws em off a bit, i liek doing that!
i’m not the police’s greatest fan… i know a few from LB that are kool guys, but most i have met through whatever means being getting nicked or reporting something have been idiots, but i still dont rise to it, just act completly normal.

did you explain why tho?, its how you word things mate, wich isnt easy for you as your not english! (you get what i mean mate?).
sounds liek they was there doing stop and checks, wich is all well and good cos they often catch teh uninsured and those with no licience.
mate just bite ya lip, pay teh fine and FFS!! CHANGE THE PLATE!! or it will happen again sooner or later, thank ya lucky stars it wasnt kent or essex police cos they can be right cunny funts!;):w00t:
I was talking nice to all officers, just not to the fat one. He looked like well pi$$ed from the begining and started of saying to me about all this fines, going to court, my DL being illegal with polish address on. I know my rights and he can’t just try to scare me like that. He tried to show me his power and I showed him how much I don’t care about it and that’s all. I’m usually friendly with police but just couldn’t stand this one guy.
I will change it. The main reason was it was too small. I said what if I fitted legal size down there ? He said if you but you cant as it too big to be there. But I think still can do it, we will see. I will change defo but not going to have wind breaker on the back. They said to change yes ? I’m not English I understand as long as it’s not the same it’s counted as a change May fit single line one now
do what you thinks best mate but im telling you, you WILL get more aggro mate, ist up to you if you want that, personally i have only ever had one numbr plate that wasnt standard, it was about the same size as yours arnie, letters probly a little smaller…never got pulled, i think with yours its where it splaced more than anything, my sisters fella had one on his blade a ruler plate, 6 times he got pulled, 7thtime he got a fine, they told him if the caught him again it would be 3 points nd a fine, he got one liek yours but mounted coventionally.
Arnie, the way I read your post was that you gave them loads of attitude - if you didn’t then fair enough, if you did then you’re being a tad silly…
You knew before hand, as admitted on this thread, that you would get pulled with the way your bike is, yet you chose to continue to ride it.
I always speak to people with respect but if I got a hint of an attitude that I feel was displayed by your first post I would do everything (within the law) to stick you on or even nick you.
I have been pulled by cops too, I never tell them who I am unless asked directly - which doesn’t do me any favours anyway. Even if someone is being downright rude then just bite your lip and complain about it afterwards. That is always the best way to deal with any situation involving the Police - show courtesy and 99% of the time you’ll get it back.
Show a load of attitude and you’ll just get yourself deeper in the crap … trust me, you won’t win.
It’s against the law - the law that is decided by MP’s who are voted in by the public of this country !
Thats whats wrong with it - it’s simple really.
+1.You won’t win if you give it attitude.I’ve stopped bikers before who,as soon as they’ve removed the helmet, start giving it large before i’ve even had a chance to tell them why i’ve stopped them…what on earth does anybody expect to gain by going in all guns blazing from the off??I speak to people as i expect to be spoken to, simple as that.
Look at it another way chap, standard exhaust proper plate in right place and sun glasses instead of dark visor then yeah attitude if def not speeding. However you had all 3 and poss speeding so take it like a man. You will have noticed my plate and exhausts plus my dark visor so I’m not perfect (well actually I am) but if you do flaunt the law expect to pay the price.
I find that in the cases that ive been stopped by the bizzies (never on a bike mind) but in the car, the “yes sir, Yes Sir, three bags full sir” approach works. I’m not licking their arse, but with the cops, show them the respect and i’ve always found them to be fair…
i think the number plate is an easy one for them to pick up on, and too be fair, i think that a bizzie in a car wouldnt be able to see the numbers clearly…it jumps out from the start and then from there they’ll look at everything else and that…
I’m interested to know what you get in the post tho!
+1the book of policing - page 1 sect 1 - the attitude test -page 1 sect 2 - if sect 1 test is a fail see sect 3 - page 1 sect 3 - the way and means act ,
I agree that attitude wasn’t in place but I really knew they couldn’t do to much to me and wanted to show to them that not every biker is afraid of them. I know I could possibly get away of it but that’s only me. I ride like I ride and I do things on my own way. Still young and being stupid sometimes. If I think through I could do things different but it already happened and cannot be changed.
I know that it’s impossible to win with the police but you can always make them to work hard for their money. Does anyone know what would happen if I said that I don’t speak English ? Would they have to get translator down or would I be taken to the police station ?
I like my number plate and I will try to keep it there where it is as long as possble. Lesson lernt from today definetelly. Police - Arnie 1:0 - and that’s only because they are the law not me
Why Arnie ? You’ve got a plate that you know isn’t just a bit dodgy but is guaranteed to pass the “nick me” test of any copper who didn’t get any last night, your exhaust is not just loud but overly loud plus a dark visor, strewth man, you’re bound to get pulled. You don’t have to bend over for them but don’t antagonise, it’ll only cost you money.
If you ride a UK bike and try to pretend you don’t speak English and you have a foreign licence they will hopefully take you to the nick and bang you up for a few hours until they can verify your correct identity, there’s too many people trying that one. I guess your bike might be left locked up where you get stopped, maybe somebody can confirm ? Will it be there when you come back ?
Yes and Yes… Black visor law is stupid
Arnie’s plate is only a problem for speed cam because they can’t read it due to the angle of it
As far as speeding, I can tell you for a fact that he wasn’t (base on the fact that if they can’t prove it, it did not happen and that I follow Arnie at Brands - if he can’t break the speed limit on a track, he is not going to do it in town-)
Now more importantly. I think, not sure but I can be bovered to check that Arnie’s post is the current record for number of smiley within one post.
For that alone, it was worth reading…
what are you talking about… Arnie is white
Now if Da Artist got stopped, there would have been no polite talk that could have stopped him going to jail with a number plate like that
Nah… I have been riding for over 10 years with a single line plate and got pulled once. And they were not even after me to start with…
Riding still in urban area is what get you into trouble.
Loud and aggressive riding in central london is never a good idea.
Being a polish immigrant instead of a French honored guess is not either but this is a discussion for an other day because my glass is empty and i need a refuel :w00t:
