Arnie and Police...story discontinued

PLEASE !!!

no chances you get more views here m8

Maybe not…that doesn’t stop you being self-centred and much more besides. i know you think it’s all a big joke and it’ll never happen to you and I hope you are right. most people I know try to stack the odds in their favour whereas you like to get yourself in the worst possible position on the road - at maximum risk…your choice I guess. i wish you luck;)

wind ya neck in mate…

do you even know arnie…?

if it upsets you why go and post on his thread and view it ? geeeeeeezzzzzz

Ratty, do you wanna see an RIP Arnie thread? I don’t, he needs to calm things down on the road, as bikers we are very vulnurable on the road. Mirrors and indicators are really important, don’t see the point of putting yourself at risk just so that your bike looks more streamline, really not worth it!!

Because if you did… you would know why he is called Arnie: he will terminate you!!!

Nothing you or anyone else can say will change that, he need to get there on his own time and we just have to hope that it won’t be too late.
And I disagree about the mirrors part…

+1

So what advantage do you get from not having mirrors on your bike?

no i dont tig…most definetly not…

whistler should top spouting off…

arnie took his indi’s and mirrors off cos he dropped the bike…thats what i remember anyway…i have rode with arnie quite a few times…never really had any big probs with his riding.

i haver seen far worse riding from LB’s…we are all guilty of it at some point.

Must agreed with Tiggi on some of the points. Bikers ARE the most vulnurable group on the roads, more so than cyclists, so when you take more risks you increase your chances of being in an accident.Personally I have been to too many funerals this year (you know it is a bad year when you have been to no weddings but to many funerals) and I do not want to go to any more. And I certainly don’t want to see RIP Arnie.Arnie the thing to remember a lot of these comments are coming from people who know you and do actually give a sh1t. If you want to stick you thumb to the laws of the land that have evole over the year that is fine. You might think that there are petty and beauracratic but they are the law, and if you flout them expect to get pulled. If you want to ride at twice the speed limit then do it on a track, because if you do it on the road the consequences don’t bare thinking about. But ride sensibly and keep the bike legal otherwise you will spend a lot of money proping up Gordon Brown’s Government and that is just plain wrong. And be safe and avoid unnecessary risk, in the long run it isn’t worth it.

good post! would have posted the same but im busy @ work and shite with words at times!!

First thing is , No i don’t know Arnie…he’s probably a very nice guy…I just think he sounds a bit dangerous and big-headed about how fast and wonderful he is - I assume I’m allowed an opinion?? (based on what he himself said). Second thing is I’m not spouting off . Been riding for 34 years and lost too many mates in the early days who rode with this same attitude…it’s just not worth it - to say nothing of the innocent people they took out on their way out…

- I assume I’m allowed an opinion??

Yes just be aware you’ll get heckled because of it:cool:

Nope. Haven’t you got a duck to fatten up anyway??? lol. SAVE THE DUCK!

None but it stop us assuming that there is nothing left and right just because you can’t see anything in your mirror…Mine where utterly usuless so I got rude of it as the only thing I ever use them for is to know if coppers where on my arse or not and if the camera flased me or not;)Now as I can know for sure if cops tailling me or not, I try to ride in a way that won’t attrack their attention too much. So far so good and it has been a while since I had mirrors on my bike, doesn’t bother me, I concentrate more on what is coming than what is behind me (very rarely catching up on me unless it is you as I rather have us just in front for the view

That would make you 50 or over… therfore your opinion is worth dick to a 22 years old

And you are old enough to know that so staop waisting your finger tips on the keyboard

Mirrors aren’t for seeing if cops are chasing you (although they are handy for that :P), they are there for your safety, you are meant to give them a quick glance and then do a life saver before making a manoeuver, I can see many advantages for having them and none for not having them but I can tell you this until I am blue in the face, you mirrorless people won’t pay a blind bit of notice to anyone trying to make sure your as safe as can be on the roads but it’s up to you at the end of the day I suppose
