im not an extreme toolaholic but i know that my dad is a toolaholic and a ‘strangepartsaholic’ lol
My most recent acquisition was a tap and die set - it still has the cellophane wrapping on. But it’s there for when I need it!
That’s the thing… You never know when you are gonna need it
For ages I “improvised” when it came to circlips but after I bought a set of various circlip pliers it was like a revelation. No more slips and grazed knuckles
LMAO !! i mean ahem yes that is very true you can never be too much prepared
im lucky i got a new screw fix direct opened up in my town just 5 miles away if that
There’s a new ScrewFix place opened a few minutes away from me in Enfield.
So far I have resisted but it is soooo tempting
I think it’s genetic.
My parents are complete toolaholics. In fact my mother is worse than my dad. Some people have toolboxes, my parents have a tool room. And even that’s overflowing.
I’ve inherited the addiction. I spent £50 on a 1/4" drive snap-on torque wrench a year ago and yet to use it.
My toolkit:
1 x FO big lump hammer (The tool of a pikey )
1 x Suzuki GSXR toolkit (mainly allen keys)
1 x Big roll of Duct Tape
Less of a toolaholic more toolically challenged
Tools (starts drooling!!), bought a tap and dye set a couple of weeks ago in preperation for my exhaust change (well you never know do you). Bugger me, I actaully had to use it!! The wife was dead impressed.
She doesnt know that I have a secrect NatWest account so I can buy tools and she cant find out (laughs manically!!)
The addiction has struck again!!
i need a bigger toolbox now…
Im often told Im a tool…does that count ?
You didn’t go for the £19.99 one from Argos then mate?;):D:D:D
I do love a bit of workshop porn;):D:D
err no… im a tool snob!!
fingers crossed this should be mine by monday!!!
fit nice under my top box
I usually do if its got Snapon wrote on it. (if i have Snapon money that is)
I have been adding tools to my mid-sized red halfords tool box over the last few years and have been adding tools as I tackle new jobs as my mechanical experience/confidence grows.
I have a couple of torque wrenches (a small one and a larger one for axle bolts etc), an impact driver, the usual spanners, screw drives and socket/bit sets etc
I also like to tackle those annoying electrical wiring problems (lights that stop working, cooling fans that stop coming on etc) that are simple to fix but time consuming to track down and would cost lots if you took it to a shop to fix. To this end I got an electrical repair kit and a multimeter to check for continuity.
I have been recently drooling over interesting looking tools in the Demon Tweeks catalogue and plan on purchasing some of them. In my dreams I would have a top of the range Snap-On tool cabinet stuffed with tools and the know how to use all of them!
Ive decided I MUST have another set of mull grips and some long nose pliars…
looks under the workbench for Mr Mac
My name is Toby and I too am a confirmed tool … … … … oh, tool aholic…yes, that too.
DIY’ing the house is good cos it means I can go peruse the powertool section in B&Q too
see now youre just flirting!

My name’s Mole, and I’m a tool-o-holic…
The real bad time was when the shiny Snap-On van would come to the yard every second Friday…
My latest piece of shiny was a torque wrench from Halfords and a socket set…I sat for hours testing it out on all the engine bolts…
