I have the Astro J helmet at the moment but im looking at buying an RX7 in black to go with the Stealth, but been told to go for Astro J as there quieter. Can anyone shed some light on this please ??
I was also told this by a chap from Infinity at Hanger Lane. Apparently the RX-7 is the evolution of the Astro-J, but it doesn’t make much sense to me that it would be noisier than a previous model. I had the Astro-J (and crashed in it, THANK YOU MR ARAI) and it was fine. I’m upgrading to an RX-7 as well. Will let you know what it’s like if you wait long enough (don’t wait for me).
i think the rx7 is noisy as it has all them vents all over the top
I’d choose an RX-7 over the Astro every time…
the RX-7 is a race lid, and the astro is a road based lid, the '7 isnt as quiet as the astro because of the extra vents, but the ventilation is better/more effective on the 7 oh and the 7 is lighter too hope this helps
Did help me mate! The extra ventilation is great! I do sweat a lot on track and get it all steamed , even in the summer! Nice one! Thanks
I bought an RX7 at the NEC show. Went out on the bike the other night for first time since my crash. Got up to a reasonable speed somewhere and I could not say that the lid was that noisy. Certainly no nosier than the Shoei it has replaced. Personally I prefer Arai as they fit my head better.

Great got the RX7 for £330, fits great.

now i will get the next one RX7 they just the best shape to fit my head
