apriila electrical probs

hello
was wondering if anyone knows of a good electrical mechanic in london or essex who could look at my aprilla rsv 1000r factory.
broke down in belguim and my local garage is looking at it, not too sure if they will be able to fix. if anyone knows of anybody good in this area could you please give me their number!
cheers andy,

I presume, by your description, that it’s a Gen 2 RSV that you have. If so, this bike will use CANBUS, so to diagnose any problems it’s best to take it to someone who can interrogate the onboard computer and decipher any error codes. This will most probably mean going to either an Aprilia dealer or specialist.

Southern Cross in Kilburn/West Hampstead are Aprilia specialists - and very nice guys too

To display fault codes:1) Remove right side rear panel . 2) You will find two unconnected wires near a big harness clip near the side of the battery. You cannot miss these wires. They are the only 2 unconnected wires in there.3) Connect the two wires together.4) Turn key on5) DO NOT start engine.6) The message “DIAG” should appear on left LCD screen along with a number indicating the Fault Code. Did ya sort the bike out? Typical Aprilla quality unfortunatley. Was it raining out there at the time?

If you get stuck PM me I know a guy that can help you
