The Ace is at Park Royal on the North Circular, quite a way from Basildon if you’re on a pit bike. Can’t see how you’d keep up on a run unless it’s a 250cc or so ? ![](https://londonbikersarchive.blob.core.windows.net/forums/skins/classic/images/emoticons/confused.gif "Confused") Might be wrong, don’t know, never been on a pit bike. What are they for ? ![](https://londonbikersarchive.blob.core.windows.net/forums/skins/classic/images/emoticons/confused.gif "Confused")

From wikipedia -

"Pit bikes

True to the original concept of a small scooter used to quickly move around the pit areas of motor racing tracks and events. They look like [motocross](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motocross "Motocross") motorcycles and are also used in some motocross competitions. Recently the sport of mini moto (racing pit bikes on motocross and supercross tracks) has taken off. There are numerous series in the United States and there are also full fledged mini moto pros. The Las Vegas Mini Supercross is the biggest mini moto event of the year and it often draws top pros such as Jeremy McGrath, Ryan Abrigo, and Derek Costella. "Pit bikes are often, but not always 49cc.

I’m coming down the A1 from Stevenage direction, M25 over the bridge if that helps. Pace will be mellow I’m sure but there will be the oportunity for a bit of blasting away for anybody who fancies it.

Where are you starting from ?

Simplest idea would probably be High Beech tea hut and then jump on M25,work out a time later, probably about 830-845,should leave plenty of time to go down to Northern France ![](https://londonbikersarchive.blob.core.windows.net/forums/skins/classic/images/emoticons/smile.gif "Smile")

If you are coming on the M25/M26 might take you about 45 mins to get to the Oakdene (probably less) - allowing for time to find it. If you’re coming on the A25 it will take a while longer. Any other route and you’re on your own girl ![](https://londonbikersarchive.blob.core.windows.net/forums/skins/classic/images/emoticons/wink.gif "Wink")
