Is there anyone on here who works in the travel holiday industry?
or better still anyone who’s irish! Me and my steve have just booked our wedding for the 8th august and both want to have our honeymoon in ireland as neither of us has been there but would love to travel all over doing as much as possible in 7 days!
But me being me i don’t know where to start and don’t really want to go in a high street travel agents and get fobbed off wiv a load of shite that we are’nt going to enjoy!
So if anyone can advise then it’d be much appreciated:D
Well congratulations on the engagement! May be a newbie so this is the first that I have heard.
Best thing I have found is to pick up a Lonely Planet guide and take it from there? Are you flying there are driving? There is the starting point, and most likely end point as most airlines like return journeys. And then plan from there.
Maybe not that helpful, but it is usually they way I do my hols (infrequent).
Wasp - I’d recommend flying to Cork and hiring a car for a trip round the Ring of Kerry (not as filthy as it sounds… ) also visiting Galway.
Cork is a grand city, plenty of ‘the craic’ plus close to some of the most beautiful that Ireland has to offer. If you are after a more cosmopolitan, urban style city break then you also can’t go wrong with Dublin
