Anyone ever been to Valmeinier? Been looking at quotes for Tignes and the person who has been getting me them said he can get me a cheap one for Valmeinier.
I know Tignes is still pretty good for boarding the first week of April but anyone got any idea if Valmeinier is?
Planing on going away for the 30th march till 6th April

Personally I would raid the piggy bank, shove my hand down the side of the sofa and find the few quid extra to go to Tignes - especially as you’re going 1st week of April. But then I just hate skiing through the treacle type snow you tend to get at lower altitudes - might be different on a tray?
Don’t know about Valmeinier, but i spent 2 weeks in Tignes in January and absolutely loved it. Especialy if you get the Espace Killy pass that gives you access to Val D’isere as well.
I went there for a week a fews years back when my cousin was working as a chalet girl. As mentioned, from what I remember it was quite small and not that exciting.

Im sticking to Tignes after what i read about the place. Cheers guys
we just booked a week in Tignes for March 9th which is in French school holidays
flights 120 accommodation 155 rental car 75…so £350 without ski pass which I think is very competitive.
If you are going April it should be similar (though might be more as its Easter weekend)
Its very easy to book yourself if you want any tips etc let me know.
ps. if you go a week later you will save loads …plus we will be there from 10th to 14th April
