While on the way back from Ruislip or somewhere (?) on my Bikesafe day my Police officer and I came across a pickup truck which was blazing on the sliproad onto the A40. Of course the officer was on duty so had to attend and so parked his bike across the slip entrance to stop people going down there. I parked the scoot up at the entrance slip and watched. It must have only just caught ablaze as there was only one car there which had stopped. But the flames were licking higher and higher.
Eventually the fire brigade came and put the blaze out but god, what a lot of smoke!!
