anyone own a ZX10R D6F?

Hello allEven thou I am really happy with my ZX9R ever time i see a zx10r d6f model especially in black I think I should make the change. But to be honest what are they really like to live with. I would kick myself if I changed it for my 9 and i hated riding it.

So just wandering who owns one and what sort of riding they do on it. i.e. just dry weekends or daily etc.

thank you in advance.

Do it buddy you won’t regret it !!

Wish I had kept mine now - 07 plated in Black with carbon Akras :crying:

One of the worst " spur of the moment " decisions of my life :frowning:

Try here for more " educated " feedback - www.zx10r.co.uk

Probably THE best 10R site known to man ( and the odd woman LOL )

I am sure Gabby and Chenster will be along at some point soon to offer their experiences but I doubt they will be negative

that would be perfect. I am watching this one on ebay

It looks so damm good but then my 9 so compfy fast and fun and I feel if I go to a dealer take one out for a couple hours I wont get a true feel what the bike is really about. My main prob is I commute 20 miles every day min so I need not to kill my back and wrists.

You won’t have a problem with comfort mate - I am 6ft 4ins and NEVER got off mine with any aches and pains .

I know both Gabby ( Powerpuff Girl ) and Chenster do substantial commutes on their D7’s and rate them highly too

They are NOT the animal that the original model was although they are just as ( if not more ) powerfull they just make the power in a smoother way and a bit more stable .

The one you are watching on e-bay looks identical to mine ( although I removed the heat sheilds and rear pegs for a nicer look and relocated the rear brake reservoir . - really tidies it up IMO

Almost brings a little tear to my eye LOL

Try one mate and you wont look back - in fact , you will realise just how lardy the 9R is in comparison :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh ,

And you won’t need a couple of hours !!

You will be hooked in 10 minutes

i have one and i love it.

commute 80 miles a day plus all the other extra miles that you do…

i’m 6.3 and not small.

looks like mine.except for the fact its slightly cleaner. only just though

damm it, that is some confident words there right there.

I def have to seriously look into it now. I am glad to hear that they are slightly softer than the first 10’s, as a few people have commented to me they where to aggressive for normal riding. But the one thing I have heard constant about the 10 is that it rewards you well with “fun” riding  and I can understand what you mean about the 9 being a big lard damm thing is wide!!! i had to move a friend cbr600 from shop to his house the other day and felt I was riding my old SV650s lol plus it felt so slow and gutless :frowning:

well thanx for the feedback

I ride an SV on the road and track and love them - both the 650 and the 1000  I don’t think theyre gutless, its just a different bike. In fact, I think you will notice the speed even less on the ZX10.

This is mine (although Chenna will tell you it’s not always this clean and this is pre exhaust mods that you havent seen yet :D):

The ten is an awesome machine. You do need long arms for it to work well though (and perhaps a trip to Southern Cross if you struggle with the suspension a bit - Matt really knows his kawasakis). Its a very stable bike (trust me, I am not loving the CB500 I have at the moment while she is being set up). But I love my SV just as much and if you ever go back to an SV afterwards, you will see why - no words can really explain :stuck_out_tongue:

thanx powerpuffgirl for your feedback.

Sorry I should be more clear. Sitting on the cbr600 felt like i was sitting on my old sv650 compared to the 9 in width and it was only the cbr600 felt gutless compared to the 9. I do miss the old sv650 great commuting bike but always felt it could have been better bike.
