The R1’s fuel pump is still cutting out intermittently and now I’ve gone as far as I can with it, so time to call an expert in. Can’t risk getting it to a bike shop.
If you’ve got recovery, just leave as normal, then if it cuts out and strands you, call recovery to take you to a bike shop. I did this a few months ago, battery wasn’t getting any charge, broke down about half a mile from home, called the RAC and instead of going to go get bike trailer, the guy jump started me, then followed behind me to the workshop. We had to make one other stop for him to get me started again, once the battery had run down.
If you need someone to work on your electrics, call this guy Steve 07870280288, he’s based in Aurelia Road, Thornton Heath, near Croydon if you can get there under your own steam. All he does is bike electrics and comes highly recommended by many, including myself. He may even go to you, no harm in asking.
PM Ricky, see if he can assist
cheers Stuts, already had it at a bike shop for a week and they just couldn’t get it to fail. So I took it back and second time I rode home from work, yep you guessed it! I hate intermittent faults. Will give that Steve guy a ring though, even if he can’t come out this far he may have some ideas.
steve is the dogs but he has moved workshop now, still in same area bit more toward croydon now.
call number above and he will tell ya where.
