Been offered one for very little money. Ex-Police 1996 and in good condition apart from a blow on the exhaust (repairable). What are they like on a daily basis? The current owner reckons it has ABS and Traction Control but I understood that TC only came on ABS2 equipped bikes (had little indents on the front mudguard …this one does not)…Can anyone give a sure fire way of identifying the spec of the bike or offer ant comments on these things?
never had one but have ridden a few…
i like them
With stripes and blue lights?
My dad has a Honda Police Pan European 50th Aniversary model, it actually states ‘‘Police’’ as part of the model on the logbook,
I got to say my experience riding the Honda pan on a daily basis is alot better and comfortable than my Yamaha R1, it is smooth responsive economical and a nice big petrol tank that gets me alot more miles than what my sports bike will allow me, the handling is very good as the suspensions have very good ratings they glue to the ground and movability is good, Im not sure if my dads pan has abs and traction ect, that could only be confirmed by giving the reg to honda and asking them, i believe ABS and traction came out on models around 1998 , here is my dads one for sale on LB classified which im selling on his behalf,

The only thing i would regret on a Honda pan is they are bloody heavy lol but as soon as you have set off on it they are easy and a dream to ride make an excellent tourer and with the pans you get to pack lots of luggage;)
Rickster on here had one for a while…
