Anyone free to go bike shopping today? :-)

I’m planning on going shopping for bikes today, anyone fancy tagging along? Probably going to leave around 11ish, when the rain stops (I’ve checked the satellite images and it’s looking good).

I’m happy to go by myself, but it’d always be good to have someone with more experience. I’m out in the West of town (Sudbury, on the borders of Harrow and Wembley), and I plan to go to a few places - Chiswick Honda, West London Superbikes in Bedfont, Motorcycle Store in Shepherds Bush, and anything else that crops up during the day.

If you fancy keeping me company and offering me snippets of your wisdom and experience, let me know

Awesome, moving to SMS

West london suzuki out by bedfont worth a look too .

Would love to join you…but in work today… :ermm:

Do a search for west london suzuki. They aren’t exactly friendly.

Have a look at Lloyd Cooper in Watford.

cant get the pass today ;-(

www.ducatiaylesbury.co.uk/ these guys have a great selection on 600cc bikes and they knock off a bit if they know your looking else where.

I bought my FZ6 from there they also had Kawi, honda, suki and good old trumpets to compare.

I dont much care how friendly a dealer is . I dont care if they dont offer of a cup of tea or call me sir . If they have the bike I want at the right price thats all I care about as I will never have to see them again after purchase … And if I am using a trade in ringer is best if I dont go back

Would have joined you, but this is the one day this week I have to pop in to work :frowning:

That is the problem, when I went there to have a look at a new bike, they offered me a awful price (less than a third I got for it 10k miles and a year later), and just keep quoting me retail price for the new bike. And despite promising to call me when there demo was back in, they never called me. I had to chase to arrange the demo, and in the end they told me they had sold it.

I don’t mind being offered retail price, but at least give me a decent px price on my existing bike, or vice versa.

Found the entire experience to be very poor.

You should never trade in a good bike . Only ever trade in something on its last legs . A gpz900 with a tendance for jumping out 4th and shrunken valve issues for instance . Or a honda supermoto with low compression and in need of bearings every where it has bearings … Good bikes you sell private before or after you get the next or new one .
