Great cinematography, interesting concept, at least one annoying accent 
Good to see some semi-worthwhile tv being made over here for a change!
Yeah - it’s a complicated paranoid conspiracy thriller - some comic book nerds meet on an internet forum and uncover a global conspiracy conducted by an organisation with unlimited reach and power - the organisation uses brutally efficient, heartless psychopathic killers to hunt them down and eliminate them - well written, well acted and the production values are sky high.
Some genuine edge of the seat moments.
Yeah - absolutely - the wide screen direction and framing is very stylish. It’s also well plotted.
…and probably a lot closer to the truth than one would like to think!

I saw the first episode but working so hard not got round to catching up with the rest.
Unfortunately for me although I can stomach most things I do find watching gratuitous torture scenes particularly unpleasant. They can be done in a way that is bearable to watch but the snippet I saw of Utopia reminded me a bit of Mesrine 2…or Hostel…i.e. not at all pleasant.
Having said that the characters and storyline looked ok…
I love it! Great plot, great characters, great acting, great cinematography… It’s a winner!!!
Favourite character has to be Arby… Even though he’s a complete phsychopath!!! :w00t:

Yeah - the guy who plays him is a great actor - Arby is simultaneously terrifying and pathetic - inspiring fear and sympathy at the same time - which is impressive!

I tend not to watch UK TV (usually Breaking Bad, Homeland, Justified, Game of Thrones, The Wire etc) but maybe I’ll give this a go.
Generally, anything above 8.5 on IMDB must be pretty good.
I have just over 27 hours and 20 minutes, although I know that’s rubbish. Someone who really knows what they’re doing would find me within about 10 minutes.

I’d have 48hrs according to the site… In reality, I’d just ditch my phone, get all my cash out of the bank and vanish. Change of name and the next boat out of the harbour. O take my gear and go live wild in the one of the large outdoor areas!
Over the last week or so I watched all 6 episodes. It’s a good show, but I’m a little disappointed by the ending. I don’t think I’d put it up above the shows I mentioned earlier, but as mentioned, great cinematography and use of fixed focus etc. Lots of shots of the back of people’s heads was interesting. Agreed Arby is a great character, it works that he has no emotion, but he comes across as a little slow, so I find it hard to understand he’s any kinda of great assassin.

Without giving too much away, they weren’t ever after a certain item, but another thing seemed a bit odd when you look back at other events in the show. I tend not to like when a show ends on a cliff hanger that you have to wait for the next series.
