if its not raining i am going, it will be great fun and we do need to make it clear that road charging is unacaptable…we should not be like the lemmings that drive about in their cages…they accept anything thrown at them and still come back for more…they cause us more trouble than anything by their lack of action…

I know the cash is going to good cause but why the fvck should you pay to go on a demo?
Mag fcked themselves up like this, sort of. use to get thousands of pepes on the magna carta demo, a good day it was then all of a sudden it stopped and wot they done is they only wanted mag members there and numbers dropped on the demo suddenly cos they did not advertise it in the general bike press, and soon after no more magna carta run/rally.
when its all said and done about the £5, i will be going and suss it out when i get there.

I was keen - then I saw you had to pay and register, which put me off, as it didn’t feel very democratic or open, and would reduce numbers (us bikers are cynical enough), but the justification makes sense when you read it, and these are serious issues for bike riders in this shyte city…

I am in principle against road pricing myself I understand that whilst I can afford it others cannot; I was just amused by the irony of paying to go on a ride protesting about road pricing…

You pay for the rallying-point parking, and the route policing - apparently.
I’m not too pikey to pay a fiver for a well run event, but I am bothered about having to register and become a member of the webste to join in, and looks like you can’t just turn up on the day and pay…
Not a great way to guarantee attendence.
I am sure the website says you can pay on the day - it also says you need to register so you won’t get into trouble for riding through red light cameras.

Sorry to say we were on the lash last night and woke up too late to come along. Hope it all went well and plenty of people managed to join in. Sorry we missed it.
Agreed so do I… ( smoke for England, we are major contributors to the tax coffers.)… and without the right conditions it will get negative press comments and defeat the whole object, public opinion goes down the drain when they are inconvenienced so an escorted and organised display is best and gets the message across.
I know I know… why pay for venues and marshalls etc… but sometimes it works best to play the game to get what you want, and a fiver shouldn’t break any banks anyway, and why not do an extra collection for the air ambulance funds as well.
MCN say not making money out of it, possibly they could lose a bit with organising costs, but wouldn’t it be worse if they ignored the whole issue and left it up to bikers to do their own thing about this.
