Any rail workers out there

I have just been told that there is a rail strike on Friday

Normally wouldn’t worry me but i had planned an afternoon on the sauce so was leaving bike at home

Anyone know anything other than what’s on the BBC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/5190090.stm

if we do have any members that are anything to do with ASLEF can you please have a word and get me into and out of London this Friday.

Failing that any cheap cabbies???

Hang on i will have a word with the Doctor, see if there is room for two of us in the Tardis, though on the good side for me, no trains means having to take the bike to work…

Ohh and there is a 48 hour strike next week too…deep joy

At least the schools break up this friday…thats something i guess…

normally i just chuckle at all the commuters stuck in travel hell but looks like i laughed too soon

How dare they come between me and a Friday afternoon of fun

Here is some info from the Aslef website. http://www.aslef.org.uk/

Drivers at South West Trains on strike:

28th July

31st July

11th August

14th August.

They’ll prob’ly call it off tho.

Depends where you live mate, South East trains (my company) intends to run a very limited service from about 11.30 on Friday getting every train home by 21.30(which means last trains from London about 19.30/2000ish, havnt been at work yet this week. Back tomorrow so will have a bit more idea then.
