Any other TL1000S owners?

I seem to be the only regular TL1000S rider to attend the ACE/bar italia.

In London at least, these bikes don’t seem to be popular at all, tho there is a big following elsewhere.

You R1,Gixxer riders don’t know what ya missing!

RB has a TL, hes a member on here. Nice bikes but not quite my cup of tea for London.

Yep RB has a TL1000R there was a really nice red TL1000S at Box Hill the other day

How do you find the TL1000S? All reports seem to suggest they are a tank slapping wheelie monster…

I have only had 2 slaps, one being a bad one but nothing that any other sports bike wouldn’t of reacted to in the same situation. Saying that tho, my bike is has none of the standard suspension that causes most of the bikes problems. Ohlins rear suspension and Ohlins front fork internals.

As for wheelies…again, in its day yeah it was a wheelie machine but compared to the latest bikes it is no more likely to wheelie.

As for riding the bike, well it is not easy. It likes to be ridden the way it wants too and has no regard for your style of riding. I can get on any other bike and be instantly faster and more confident, but that is where the fun lies with the TLS, it aint perfect but when you get it right it rewards. Plus the engine really shifts, and is just as fast as the latest twins out there.
