Anyone know any nice rides around the Buckinghamshire neck ‘o’ the woods??
Preferably under 2 hours so i can blatantly lie to the family and say im going to Homebase for a screw (heh heh)??

Me and a few local boys try and get out locally once or twice a week so if you fancy tagging along you are more than welcome . We usually leave Wycombe and go out towards Chinnor/Thame and go out towards Watlington and Benson way . A nice stop off is Fox’s Diner apparently and then back through sunny Oxfordshire !! There are multiple routes back and all are completely different although you may struggle to keep it down to a couple of hours !!!

p.s We occasionally get to the Deep Mill Diner ( on A413 between Gt Missenden and Amersham )as Bike Club UK have a weekly meet on a Weds evening which usually involves a ride out with 20 or so of us . Let me know if you fancy tagging along at some point ??

Aye, I can defintely recommend the A413 - it be all ye be needin’ (talklikeapirate day, explain later).
You can pick it up from the towcester/MK end, at Aylesbury or at the Denham/A40 end. It’s one of my favourite roads. It’s best from Aylesbury to Towcester and back IMHO. The rest of the roads are OK but pale compared to the A413. It takes around 30 minutes to do Aylesbury - Towcester. Isn’t there a meet a Towcester too?

Also please note ive only owned my bike (04 Fazer 6) for (nearly) 4 months now and am unlikely to be getting my knee down anytime soon (at least not on purpose) and i dont want to slow ppl down.
I commute home on the A413 from Denham to Amersham but ive only ever followed it as far as Aylesbury. It looks like it gets much nicer after Aylesbury so I look forward to that

Yeah, definitely better on the way to Buckingham. I’ve got a yellow '02 Fazer and the silver zx6r in the pic. Don’t worry about keeping up or knee down - I’ve been riding for 18 months and still don’t try. 
B482 from Marlow to Stokenchurch should be within range and once on that do the A40 from Stokenchurch to Milton Common, all the traffic goes onto the M40 so it empty and the first section after Stokenchurch is awsome, even better in the opposite direction.

Or hook a right just out of Postcombe for the B4012 to Thame - smashin’ little bit of twistie tarmac that always entertained
From Thame the A329 down to Fox’s Diner is fun or the B4011 up to Bicester is the absolute dogs’ 
Stop for a rest at the top and it is back to Aylesbury on the A41, stopping at On Yer Bike to dream a little, or a big loop around Oxford and back to base
B4009 south from near Aylesbury to Benson, A329 back up to Thame, B4011 towards Bicester, A41 back to Aylesbury.

Agree with the B4012 to Thame and the A329 I have only ever done from were the A40 joins it but the section from Stadhampton is excellent and then pop into Fox’s to talk the usual Bollox. B480 from Stadhampton to Henley is also a good blast and usually makes my normal run.
If anyone is about this way give me a shout, as i live in milton keynes, only 15 miles from alyesbury or biecester…!!
