Hi Gina, paint stripper use it outside leave your wheels in the sun for sometime to warm up but that depends are your wheels powder coated or just painted.
Plus if you are getting them powder coated whoever does it for you will sort that out for you.

Gina, don’t see why it should be an issue, I have used it before for removing paint on my FZR and did not have any problems but get it for a auto paint shop

hey babes i used nitromors on my wheels then just polished then up. you can also use acitone. which is what ya find in nail varnish remover

Gina, get them powder coated they will clean them and get the colour on plus it better as its more resistant to chipping and finish is great quite a few people around doing that.

It depends on your budget.
If you are wanting to DIY then Nitromors does the job but dont get it on the bearings/seals.
Polish the rims at this stage if you wish.
Mask the bearings (and rims if to be left)
Then spray with Smooth Hammerite
Stand back and admire
If you want a professional job, strip out the bearings, look up Powder Coating on Yell.com and drop them off.
They will blast clean and powder coat the wheels for you.
A word of warning re. Paint Stripper on Petrol tanks.
If there are any welded seams on your tank be very very sure you have washed all the stripper off as it hides in the weld and leaches out after you have had your new paint job done
