Kids have now out grown these, so time to clear some space in the shed. For those who don’t know the Hamax Plus system is a high end child seat solution. Unique in that the seat slides on and off the rack in seconds and includes two panniers that are specially designed so the one corner can fold down to accommodate your kids feet. No other system lets you stick a sprog on the back and panniers to carry all the crap you need. What is the point of a kids seat, if you’ve got nowhere to stick the nappies, spare clothes, snacks, wipes etc?! The seats are great in that they have a whopping big spring underneath them to absorb bumps and have a dial to recline them, for when your little 'un gets tired. My two often fell asleep in these, can recommend you get an inflatable neck cushion too. For sale, I have two Hamax Plus Seats, two panniers (one left, one right) and two racks, one ‘basic’ rack and one ‘premium’ rack that can clip on and off your bike. The latter is dead handy if you need to take your bike off road one day, but carry kids to nursery the next day. Condition: Both seats are in very good condition, used, but relatively clean upholstery, just a few extra reflective stickers slapped on the backs and some minor scuffs to plastic. The basic rack is in good nick, just a couple of spot where the black paint was warn off, very minor really. The premium rack is in good condition, but is unfortunately missing the parts that attach to the bike which it clips onto (some toe-rag stole these along with the rest of my bike…), however I bet you could pick these spares up cheap from Hamax (or just pick another basic rack for £20). The panniers are mostly in good condition, include waterproof covers and shoulder straps, couple of minor marks, but on both the flip up lids are starting to fray off where they hinge. Also on the right pannier, the bottom hook to hold it the bike has come off, the elastic straps frayed, so we made do with a bungee. Someone good at sewing could easily mend this. Either way, still very usable. This stuff ain’t cheap new, seats are ~£75 each, panniers ~£35 each, basic rack £20, premium rack £50, so nigh on £300 worth of gear here. I’m asking for £130 the lot.I’m located in Daganham, East London. I also wouldn’t mind delivering locally if you cover my petrol.
