Spurred on by the Confidence Ride Out, I just booked my Theory Test and made a couple of enquiries about getting my practical done…
FFS… I can’t believe I’m 34 and got excitement butterflies in my guts over booking a bloody theory test… I guess it’s coz I know what lies on the other side of it 
Wasn’t there on the ride… but it’s never too early to get yer licence no matter how old you are !! (did my cbt at 31, restricted test at 31, unrestricted test at 32 and so on … ) go for it mate it only gets better !

My dad is 53 and has he test all booked and ready to do at the end of April, (took both his kids to do it first before he decided) so i can understand the butterflies and constant smiles thing.

I couldn’t sleep so got out of bed at 3am or something silly like that to do some reading :hehe: think I was actually more scared of the theory than the practical test.Good luck mate 
good on you, fella.never too late to start - I only did my car test in December and I’m 39 and have been riding bikes since I was a wee lad

I can offer a new theory test book for you if you can pick it up in North London! BTW I’ve done mine recently, it took me 13 mins, so don’t worry, it’s reeeeaaaalllly easy…

If you wanted a CD rom to go with the book Gabe has offered I have the 2007/2008 edition… not sure how much its changed since I used it but I only took my theory in July last year… might help? It simulates the both tests (theory and hazard perception)

Oh and if you want the theory test book and hazard perception DVD I have one I can pass on for the cost of postage (or free if you come to BM next week)
Done my das last year at the ripe old age of 41! Daughter got fed up of us going out so had to make room for her on the bike and it was the only way! Good luck - theory is so easy btw. practise with the free online sites!

Did my big test last year at age of 45 and I’m young and fit if you ask me.

Hehe good luck dude. I took my Motorcycle Test when I was 19 (did not need a theory test then!) BUT only then passed my car test when I was 34!!! (luckily enough did not have to take the theory test, but was still very nervous on the practical!)
did theory, CBT and DAS last october/november at 30 get the CD ROM if you can though and practice with that - makes the theory a breeze (and you learn loads of random stuff too - like how fast motorised wheelchairs can go lol! :hehe:)

That’s exactly what it feels like - I’ve been sitting around thinking yeah, yeah, I’ll do it soon and now I’m thinking what the hell am I waiting for? Christmas? Hell no, Santa sleighs, I bike! lol

Thanks muchly for the offers - I’ve got the book & DVD and have been using the online sites and… erm… ‘studying’ the HC since before the CBT But what another great example of what a great community LB is
