Another newbie

What ya mean just for the season? Biking is an all year round event young lady :POh and welcome to the fold that is the wonderfull world of LB

Welcome to LB.

We certainly do have one or two bike shops in our fine city so you will have plenty of choice.

We even have the odd bike show, like this one which takes place in February. This one, in the very historic Alexandra Palace, also takes place during the same month.

Happy choosing!

Back here they mostly change their range of products, during the winter they often sell snowmobiles and clothing instead. Service parts can I understand, but can you buy winter tires and drive all year round? :stuck_out_tongue: Thank you

Thank you

The first show had I already found  Is the second one just for bikes, the pictures in the gallery was just on bikes? Do you know any exihibitions/shows there it is bouth bikes and cars?

Does anyone know when they have any public events at Silverstone (during the spring 2011)?

I couldnt found anything there until May

vÀlkomna
:hehe::D:w00t::P:hehe:

Tack sÄ mycket

Your swedish is almost as bad as my english  VÀlkommen if there is one person, vÀlkomna = more than one.

I have a set of wets on my moto for the wet/snowy winter roads. You can buy the same kit through the winter as you can the summer. Its not seasonal over here you can buy winter or summer kit all year round.

Wets? Sorry, but I doesn’t really know what that means. Is that something like “rain tyres” that you can put on when the ground is wet at a trackday? Or like mud and snow tyres that you use on your car? Or do you mean motocross with “moto”? Studded tires is common on motocross during the winter here, but never something like that on a regular motorcycle to ride on public roads. I know that you got more rain in London and that snow isn’t as usual as here during the fall/winter/spring - but you still get ice on the roads I guess?

Dont blame me blame google translate! :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought of all words mr google man, “welcome” has got to be the easiest one to get right

Hehe, there was a nice gesture anyway

I agree, perhaps yes or no would be easier for google-translate :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah rain tyres but road legal ones. We dont have winter tyres as such for bike, well not that i know of anyway. First i actualy heard of winter tyres for a car was when i moved out to Germany.Moto, motard, supermoto
all the same thing. Its basicaly a motocross bike with road wheels/tyres on.Yeah we get ice/snow on the roads, dont stop me from riding though but my bike is more suited to it than most. This was taken last year at a photo shoot. Not got any recent pics on the net atm as im stuck out in Belize.

Ok, at first I thougt that you ment that you were driving a “regular” mc during the winter. Ah, Moto = same as what we calls motard, a motocross but with different tires and normally more cc (often different shock absorption, sry for my swenglish :stuck_out_tongue: and brakes too). Then I can understand that you drive the whole year :)I guess you have been driving at a track with that back tyre? :)We doesnt have regular winter tyres for bikes either, but a form of studded tyres ( I have no idea what the english word is) that you can use when you for example are playing with your moto cross on the ice or something. Yeah ive had the suspension set up too. Nah those tyres are for on the road

We dont have spiked/studded tyres for the road, no need for them over here doesnt quite get that bad. I know people that ride there commuters/sportsbikes through the winter too but not in the bad snow ofcourse. Its not that often we get it bad although last year was

Haha, suspension was the right word  Must be great friction on cold roads with it :hehe:

Oh, then I looking forward to see some bikes out on the roads in january! Don’t disappoint me

If im back in the UK i’ll be on the roads, but im not round london much as i live in the midlands but i have been known to take the ummm short trips too london for a rideout.

Okey
