Another biker gone!

sad news folks another biker lost today on the A2/M2 kent.

Notoriously dodgy area at the minute. I think there have been four deaths there in the last couple of days. ****in sad news. take care all if you use this stretch of road. And especially as the drivers turn into michael schumacher when the sun comes out.

just saw it on the news, I live near the stretch it happened, the part of the a2/m2 is very dicey at the best of times, always accidents there, mainly cars, i always try to avoid it as much as possible, i always cut off before there and go the long way home

RIP.
btw, nicked quite a few michael schumacher’s in this summer sun we’ve just had earlier on!.
twats!

It`s always sad to hear of this. R.I.P

But why is that bit of road so bad.

RIP very sad news

I’ve used the A2 quite a lot as it is nice to stop off at H’s for a cuppa, but not up the M2 near Medway, which is were I suspect you are talking about. Where was it? It would be good to know exactly where the black spots are so we can all be more aware of the danger.

RIP

Sorry to hear of another loss.

If it’s the section of road I think it is, there are several reasons why it’s bad…

  1. There are usually roadworks going on there (sometimes you get a whole couple of months before they decide to dig it up)

  2. It widens as the M2 and A2 join, plus lane discipline goes out of the window as the 2 merge

  3. When you get a clear road it is great, but people act like loonies even when it’s busy

I think this accident was nearer junction 2. I came through there yesterday and the road was shut at junction 1 diverting down a2/wainscott bypass but there was nothing visible of the accident. Junction 2 has one of those flow lanes where the nearside lane is an on slip and an off slip… I’m wondering whether it was there it happened… I’m not a great fan of those types of junction myself.

RIP, So many this year already

I have just found out that I sort of knew this bloke. I’ve met him a couple of times at BBQs. He was the son in law of the people who live two doors up from my parents, and by a strange coincidence was a mate of a colleague of mine. Apparently this occurred on the Medway Bridge, and he was being followed by his partner on a ride, when he was forced to take evasive action and lost control RIP

RIP to the biker.

I know the A2 as a friend of mine lives in Gravesend.

What an apt name as the section of the A2 leading there must be one of the most dangerous roads I have had the displeasure to have used.

I’ve been tailgated so many times along the bit that narrows to one lane…The surface is so slippery and the road just confusing.

Must find another route to his house.
