Alpinestars jet road gtx

Having nearly lost all my fingers to frostbite this morning:crying: im after a set of winter gloves.

Flicking through the HG catalogue and reading comments on here i decided to go for a set of the above gloves. I took a diversion on the way home to stop in at HG in maidstone only to discover that they no longer stock the 07 model:(

I tried on the 08 style but im not keen on them.
Any suggestions where i might be able to get hold of the above 07 gloves in a medium?

TIA
villi

give these a try. there thinner then the alpinestars, cheaper, and still windproof & waterproof. Gore-tex will be good in any glove.

ebay

Go to Rex Judd in West Hampstead. They have them in stock there, bought a pair myself a few days days ago. They also do LB discount. Other than that, try the seller cbbuzzer on ebay - same guy.

Thanks for the info SheWoolf.

Just ordered a set from ebay from the seller you suggested.

£56 ish delivered awsome:D and to think i was prepaired to pay £80 from HG, good job they didn’t have any!

Regards

Villi (soon to have warm fingers!!)

cool  Myself and Killer No1 can vouch for them being waterproof! Did about 200 miles in the rain on Saturday wearing them :w00t:

as it happens i ordered some of these this morning from the same guy. fingers crossed (not in the gloves naturally)

had the inner gloves inside my vented summer gloves but was too tight, didn’t feel confident i had full control over the throttle and levers as a result (well less than normal lets say)

cold dry hands? Luxury! (to be said in a monty python northern accent)

Just so happens, if anybody is interested, I have a pair of these that I have worn less than 10 times over the last year that I’m willing to sell…£40 anyone?

you may be a little dissapointed then as I find them too thick and combersome, you have no feeling through them at all, I would rather my fingers dropped off from the cold wearing summer gloves, than wear those on a cold frosty damp morning on the blade as it would be asking for trouble.

ohbugger. more cash down the toilet then

you may get on with them, so don’t dissmiss them yet. I am a bit of a fussy bugger when it comes to gloves.

I find the switch to winter gloves horrible! It’s a toss up of feeling less through thicker gloves or feeling nothing due to freezing fingers! Saying that, when you get used to it, switching back to summer gloves is strange too

I’ve got the same gloves and it took a couple of journeys to/from work to get used to them, they do kind of loosen up a bit I found or maybe thats just me getting used to them but they are a good pair of gloves and now just feel normal to ride in

first ride in them this morning - massive improvement in warmth but defo much harder to feel the throttle, its like its now made of sponge. no real issues on teh clutch side.

roll on warmer weather…well, after my snowboarding hol anyway. actually, come to think it of it they might be useful for that…

i hope you guys are happy and your hands are a lot warmer still have some left get them while you can as they are not being made any more.
this is the last batch around as we got them from italy direct

phone alex at rex judds clothing he will do you a good deal 0208 328 7659 tell him i told you to phone

Ive got a pair and i dont wear them as they are to thick and feel i don`t have control. I bought a pair of lobster claw gloves this year and they are so much better, better grip and your fingers and hands are warmer.

they are very warm but a few people do have probs with the 2 finger or 4 finger braking.
as my misses had a pair and uses 3 fingers to brake so they were no good to her, still in the garage 4years later.
she got the 3 finger braking from me many years ago.

The lobster gloves do feel strange when you first wear them but it doesn`t take long to get used to them.

i’m actually getting on fine with them as it goes - took a bit of getting used to but my hands are still functional when i get to work so defo pleased

prob going to use them snowboarding too!
