Aloha!

Hey,

First post, new forum, no bike, no license, live in london - figure this is a good starting point.

Hoping you guys can assist in guiding me to the magic of riding, starting with suggestions for good riding schools within train/tube reach of london? I’m SW, zone 2 (very close to Warrs harley garage!), finally found myself a new job paying enough to fund my bike desires…

Against (i expect) much community opposition i intend on starting out with something like a Daytona 600/650, after much consideration i feel i’m not too much of an idiot to hurt myself! Though open to suggestions… i do love the street trip too

Not sure which board is best to ask these questions, may as well post it here?

So, hopefully i can get involved and maybe even nip to a meet and greet, check out some of your toys! In return for my admiration maybe you can point me to a good place for DAS and some bike ideas?

Cheers&Beers!

morning and welcome.

A 600+ is perfectly fine as a first bike. I did it with only a few hours of riding a bike. As long as you are aware of the power then you’ll be A-OK

Can’t help you with a school as I’m in North London

Hi and welcome.

I did all of my training, CBT and DAS with Premier based in Wembley, even though I live in SW1 and found them excellent.

First bike was a CBF125 to ride while I was training, then bought a Yamaha XJ6. Now have a Daytona 675 as well.

Ello and welcome.

My mates did their CBT and DAS with the guys at Metropolis http://www.metropolismotorcycles.com/training-school/ I did mine out of town down in Sussex (the CBT) and intend to do my DAS with the same people just because I know the roads well down there and I liked 1066 Motorcycles as teachers.

ah i’d heard bad things about metropplis as dealers, but good (although pricey) on the training front.

how much did your DAS cost at premier? im willing to travel to save cash - would mean a better bike

cheers,

hi and and a big warm welcome!
Metropolis bikes in vauxhall are excellent i did my std mod 2 with them but found them more than helpful!
and i suppose your in close reach of the victoria line which will allow you quick passage to the centre via tube!

Welcome:D
