Just thought I would warn you all to be a little careful when parking you bike up etc… think wisely before leavining it anywhere outside of the Ace Cafe grounds.
Yesterday a friend joined us up at the Ace and drove his car up. He parked up near the second roundabout (near the Royal Mail entrance), as this was the only available spot.
We returned to his car to see him off and must have been standing there for about 10 mins or so, when a van came belting down the road, swerving from side to side, and then hit his brakes to preform a skid! …
Well lets just say that the skid didn’t quite work and he ended up smasking into the front right side of the car causing damage to the door’s hinge.
The driver then proceeded to drive off up into the Royal Mail site, where I gave chase to, and eventually he returned to the scene.
He got out of the van, and could hardly walk, and the stench of alcohol on him was…
He instantly appoligies and tried to offer money for the damage, but as you would expect we were more concerned that he had been drinking and was going to get back in the van and drive off, possible having more accidents along the way…
Anyway to cut a long story a little shorter… he ended up driving off making nice hand signals out of his window.
The incident has been reported to the police, but keep your eyes out guys for this vehicle, and avoid at all costs!!
Ahhh that the the van that was flying continuosly around the roundabout with a drunk bloke on the roof then flying down the road braking and said bloke flying off the roof.
Word of wise m8, if go by car park it to the left of the ace as you look at it. nowt happens down that end, lol. i thought seeing all doing stuff under tunnel etc all them cars parked if any were gonna get hit by summat.
If the same passion had been shown towards this knob jockey as was shown towards JT’s leathers yesterday, this bloke would have been torn limb from limb… Nice Idealol
The guy who was driving the van told us it was his bosses van… The police are looking into in. The owner of the car that was hit has been signed off as the car hit his knee, has got a week off.
