aliens

If they arrived on Earth (if not already here…), what would you like them to bring to the world?

If they contacted the Governments, do you think they would let the rest of us know? What impact do you think this knowledge would have?

Personally, I would want them to bring an alternative energy source that would stop our dependency on oil. However, the knowledge that we are not alone would destroy world religions and may well cause bigger strife than we already have. So, I doubt Government would let on. Maybe even Governments would not be in on the whole picture.

Maybe we are being groomed through the media. Loads of films etc about the impact of such a visit?

Just a thought whilst sipping on a stella!

good topic darryl…ummmm let me think…

like you said…alternative fuels is a good one…

cures for all the nasty diseases…

a full rundown on were the edge of space actully is…and were other life forms are in the universe…

ohhh…

and world peace !!!

smiled:D.

post hijack!!!

sorry i did wait for you buddy all i could think of was my DRY warm bed…

I agree with the fuel sourse and to bring in new technoligy to help improove this planet.

By the way how many Stellas had you had before thinking like this.

no point about the fuel, …hydrogen fuels are coming anyway so we dont need to worry about that…just have patience…the planet is telling us we have to do something and technology will prevail…we could do with a few air cleaners on every bike though and a use for all the bloody CO2 we generate…

what we really need is this…

Peace…a space ship above every government building on the planet, filled with all the politicians and all those that want to be politicians and at the appointed hour…boom guaranteed peace.

People then need mini force fields for ultimate protection…

Bikes with tyres that never wear out but are as sticky as glue.

the ability to manipulate the time space continuam…

the final nail in the coffin of religion

the end to marriage

sexual enlightenment

instant tea that tastes good

never ending chocolate eclairs

and finally children born at the age of 18 so they can leave home…

who believes there are aliens…I cannot believe there are no other planets able to support life as we know it, but I also cannot believe that there are no planets that cant support life as we dont know it…so I am up for believing…

the only downer is that I still cant imagine any way we will be able to find these people/creatures…science doesnt offer any real hope in my eyes…worm holes have a semblance of truth but they depoend upon whether the fabric of space can be torn, as it seems to show using quantum physics, (the science of small particles)no one knows if they exist but iof they did they would allow us and them to travel across the universe at much greater speed sthan currently able…assuming we can travel in the worm hole at all…I cant see how it would work…but this is a whole new game…

how to travel faster than the speed of light is the key and in my eyes once we fully understand gravity the connectiuon between qunatum physics and the einsteins laws we may have an answer…I think gravity gives us some hope of space travel, but thats just my humble opinion…

So i believe they exist, but I also believe they also are subject to the same laws of physics and therefore that time travel cannot occur as we want it and that travelling the vast distances of space is not going to be solved by the latest warp speed zzr14000

I see the problem:
You’re thinking that we will ram a super fast tube from one place to the other.
What we need to do is create a fold with a portal doorway so that you can step straight from one place to the other. Of course we will need to figure out force fields too as once a portal has been opened any uneven amount of pressure on each side of said portal will try to equalise. We also need to be able to stop foreign bodies getting through, so an extremely rigorous decontamination field would be required too (we don’t want alien bugs killing us off on our/their first visit do we?). Saying that, simply breathing an alien atmosphere would imply injesting bodies (spores etc. that couldn’t simply be scrubbed off).
I suppose we also need to consider background and foreground radiation.

The aliens would also probably require us to be decontaminated every time we set foot on their manor too. Take that to the Nth degree - we’d all be carrying those little dog poo bags around with us.
It gives ‘backpacking’ a whole new meaning.

To answer the question:
Fission technology would be handy (limitless free power would solve a whole bundle of problems, thus allowing things like hunger and poverty to be a thing of the past).
Nanotechnology (good enough to repair my buggered back).
Rejuvenation process.
An end to disease.
DNA enrichment/modification (we have this, but it’s still at the Frankenstein stage IMHO).
Last and not least: small personal space craft that are fast as **** and make bikes look like wheel barrows.

I want a full writen exsplanation on WHY and WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING when they anal probed me last year.

Mole - um pleasure? Maybe you just have a bum that says ‘probe me’ :w00t:

Transporters would be good… and diet pills that really work.

You been getting pissed again in that pub near the docks ? :P;)

Bring on the Klikiss - I’ll kick their spidery asses all over the spiral arm!!!

Too much coffee Alan :hehe:

I want one in red…small craft…fast as Fook…

Yeah guess I’d be asking if they could strap a smaller version of their spacecraft engine on my bike and wire it to the headlight flasher perhaps.

And I’d certainly ask for a go of their laser guns.

who would you laser first…
