At risk of being called a couple of cheapskates, we can confirm that we have tried their socks too and they’re very comfy and warm:)

Got the times for Swanley to help another cheapskate?
If you want to know more there’s a whole lot of stuff on the Bike Talk forum under Lidl (It’ll make sence if you can be arsed to look)
God! There are loads of these places in Kent. In Surrey we get rationed to two!

More like, 'Kent’s full of wannabe chavs and in Surrey most people are too posh to set foot in an Aldi"
In Banstead they were fortunate that when Waitrose burned down, Woolworths was still vacant!
probably moire to do with 1: Kent people are tightwads 2: Most of the Eastern Europeans have run out of money by the time they get to Kent.
These two factoids give Aldi a huge socioeconomic C, D, E customer base.
That and Surrey is too posh.
Quite
Though my nearest supermarket is a Lidl so not sure what that says about my neighbourhood:w00t:

I now have 3 Lidl’s within walking distance of my house, which I guess pretty much says it all about my neighbourhood…
Probably best not list that as a feature when I come to sell up.
Funny thing, this image business. O.k. I admit to being a bit of a supermarket snob. (That’s probably an oxymoron.) I mostly go to Lidl and Aldi just for their offers on motorcycle/ski/tools stuff and the fact that my local corner store is a Sainsbury, a mere 100 mtrs. away serves most of my needs.
I did on one visit to Lidle buy a whole load of stuff. The mixed antipasta was good, the wine was good and the fresh veg was better (fresher) than I’ve ever got from Sainsbury.
Apart from the stores being a bit Eastern European communist era, so far, the stuff I’ve bought has been well worth the money.
So why would I not use them more often?
Well I rocked up today about 2 PM - bearing in mind it opened at 11 - to get one of their rather snazzy jackets and maybe some boots…
…no jackets, 5 pairs of boots (none my size) and 1 pair of trousers left!
Got some socks, and what feels like a really warm thermal top.
looked at the trousers and jackets online, looked alright…
have to pop down to one before it all goes!
I got to mine at 10am ,no jackets 1 pair of trousers left and a few pairs of boots of the sizes no one wants .
Seems like Aldi have found a new niche!
