Hi lads and ladesess
I’ve got a Laserline 862 alarm, fitted by my dealer (who has gone bust) from new
It’s now two years old and since last Sunday has refused to disarm, via the fob.
I’ll go through the things I’ve tried and what is working so as not to waste time:
1 - Tried the second fob - Doesn’t work
2 - Tried disarming with the code - I’m too much of a tard I think
3 - Tried replacing the fob battery - Still doesn’t work
Now, the alarm itself still works… if you rock the bike or whatever, but the fob just won’t disarm it!
Spoke to a bloke that used to work for Laseline (he’s up in bloody Runcorn) and he thinks the bikes internal battery has died and possibly leaked all over the circuit board (This is apparently a common problem)
Anyway, cut to the chase…
Anyone know a decent alarm engineer/technician installer? I’ve been quoted £120 just to remove the alarm or £300 to remove and install a new one. Really don’t wont to pay that much!
The guy in Runcorn will repair it for me for £40 but I need to remove the unit and I haven’t got a bloody clue where to start!!
HELP!!!
