I want to make those exhaust protector things for the trackday, and I was thinking if using air hose or something. Does anybody know any place in London that sell that kind of thing by the meter? I don’t really want to by an entire reel

Driesie,
Lots of different “air hoses” out there. Do you mean those self coiling things, like big plastic slinkies, that get used on garage airlines? Or the coil wound aluminium covered tubes used as air ducts?
(If it’s a building or garage product, it will be a shed load cheaper than Demon Tweaks.)
Any rubber hose that is fairly strong but flexble enough to go around the exhausts.
I know I can find some online, but I always feel funny paying £8 delivery for £3 worth of product.
I may try that Pirtek place, it looks like there’s a branch in Greenwich.
Must admit i’m completely ’ baffled ’
by this…rubber hose to go round an exhaust ?? new one on me.
Rather than search high an low for air hose you could go to B&Q and rummage though the Aircon section where they sell large jubilee clips which are big enough to go around an end can. Then go to your local motorspares shop and ask for some car heater hose with a big enough bore to just slide over the clip, it should work out cheaper as they sell it off a reel by the foot/metre.
Fits fine on the Akro my KTM, but I’ve yet to test it in anger.
baffled, lol ![]()
When a Supermoto goes down the road it tends to slide on the hand guards, fork bottoms, pegs and the end of the swing arm so we fit bungs/sliders to these parts. Sometimes the end of the can will touch down as well, so a piece of hose wrapped around the end will keep from getting scratched up.
