i noticed how greasy teh roads are earlier when out getting my lunch, even walking around on foot you could feel and see how greasy it is outside…had a coupdl of lil slides my self…

noticed that the roads were wet this morning and was wondering why with no rain, then it occurred to me that they had gritted earlier this week. Tough luck dude, looks like you got caught out. Road looks dry but with this crap they put down they are still greasy. Haven’t had my gix out for weeks, can’t see much point riding it round like a granny.
ditto on the same bike again, then you’ve got all the trick bits already to go on + a spare engine to blow up Prices have been falling so should get a nice one for 3.5. Buyers market at the moment.
Sorry to hear about your bike - something’s going on with the roads? I stuffed the Bandit under a Merc this morning for no apparent reason other than the road was greasy…is is the ‘salt’? Q
Controversial subject, is it grit or are councils now using a rock salt substitute? From what I hear it is a mixture of sand, salt and sugar, which is far more slippery then rock salt (normal grit). But that’s the rumour, not saying its the truth. If it was far more dangerous I find it hard to believe they would be using it. Maybe its just regular rock salt, but as we all know when this stuff is sitting on the road surface its treacherous!
Ouch Adz! Sorry to hear you tipped off mate but glad you’re ok. Tricky conditions out there lately with the cold, the low sun making it hard to see and as Jamie says the gritting won’t help.
