I hope it is ok to point to another forum…:ermm:
…these peeps know what they are talking about:
HTH
i had one and loved it…
…until i needed any spares. They had to be shipped from Japan and were bloody expensive, although admittedly i didnt have internet access then.
The regulator/rectifiers are a severe problem and when they go are expensive.
That said, a lovely bike to ride, very quick and handles superbly.
i have one
I know of one for sale, looks nice and cheap, but not local.
Great bikes, really fun to ride. Wouldn’t have thought they would be very comfy if you are tall though.
Parts aren’t too much of a problem, as there are loads on ebay and when I did need a genuine new part my local bike shop had it in stock (they used to be a Honda dealer though).
Regulator / rectifiers are the NC30’s main bugbear but they are easily sorted and you can get a heavy duty aftermarket one for £60 (max). Since I changed mine I’ve had no real problems with my NC30 at all - well, apart from ones caused by me
If you are going to get one, check the exhaust downpipes as they tend to rust. See if it’s got a kph/mph converter fitted (rather than an overlay on the speedo - the converter effectively derestricts the bike too). Other than that, just do the checks you would usually do when buying a bike.
