I was considering bidding on a bike on ebay - item number 130282734213.
I’ve already asked these questions:
Has it been dropped at all?Does it have any marks or dents?Where the warranty is registered? Have you owned the bike from new? Have you fitted any new parts to it? Is it possible to view the bike before bidding? Are you willing to disclose the Reserve Price? No worries if not - I was interested because it’s a low starting bid.Is there anything else you think I should be asking before considering a bid?
for someone selling a bike there is not much information on there!
also, defo check for HP on the bike as they may have outstanding credit on it and if you buy it, the hp company could take it back off you without a leg to stand on.
Wow it only has 380 miles! hardly run in, so you need to check about how much more it needs to be run in for, whether the first service has been carried out, and is it included, (but you can check the service intervals with yamaha)
Def a HPI check (you need the reg plate for this) as a bike this new could well have been purchased on HP.
Not yet, all waiting until I come back from holiday, getting it mid feb time…going to be a long wait
1400 was an OK price for that, but even if your budget is less you are going to easily find a good example of those types of bikes around, loads of people trading up from them and lots buying but not using…
Gonna be a twiddle your thumbs job every day then, eh?
As for my first bike, I can’t get away from the fact that a BRAND NEW Honda CBF125 will cost me £1795 OTR, but any of the other bikes I like, second hand, for the mileage or age I’m willing to accept, are likely to cost me almost the same if not more…
I just keep coming back to the CBF - gonna go test ride one tomorrow… also test riding a Suzuki RV Van Van… Ooh… Decisions… Decisions…
