Advice for trip to France-Spain-Portugal

I am going in the car for a family holiday. I know most of the basic stuff. As this is my first time by car It would be useful if you guys would give any tips which can be useful to me and save me any hassel.

Drive on there side of the road and stick to the speed limits.

Remember there are some laws out there which don’t apply here… for example in France you need to make sure you carry a warning triangle, a reflective vest, full bulb replacement kit etc… worth a quick call to the AA who are spot on with this kind of advice.

And in Spain you need two warning triangles!

A First Aid Kit and a TomTom Europe

If you usually wear glasses, you will need to carry a spare pair in the car with you. Can’t remember if that’s France or Spain, definitely one of them.

Doont forget your E-HIC cards, which will give you free low cost medical care, but doesnt replace travel insurance for more severe accidents/illnesses. I sprained my ankle in Ibiza cliff climbing, you never know when you might need it.
