Adventure Book Review up and a Meet the Author potential

Just want to bring this to your attentions, not 'cause I wrote it but because it’s a damn good read, it’s nearly Xmas, it’s a great stocking filler and frankly who needs another racer’s biog eh?

Simon is a genuine chap, and is quite prepared to drag himself into town to meet people and sign copies of his book so I want to gauge the likely response. Borough Market is an obvious place, don’t want to do it at the Ace as Mark might not like promo going on without a slice.

Let me know if any of you would fancy it, just say so on the thread.

I would love to come along, but it may be a while before I’m out & about:)

currently looking into a long distance bike adventure of my own so would love to come along and meet the chap over a cuppa tea. let me know where and when and ill be there.

I remember reading his post when he joined up, what an amazing guy!!

I would love to come along but at the moment it is entirely dependent on work. Put me down for a provisional.

cheers guys, I’ll keep everyone posted when a date is organised

just started reading the book yesterday, makes a change from my usual colouring in books :D:D

I can come to Borough Market most any week in January/February.

hope to have finished it by then

Yeah he will have underlined all the words he doesn’t understand in crayon. :w00t::P;)

OMOAB January and February are fine, thankfully not as much going on.

Anyone interested in Fat Old Blimp, I’ll be at the Ace Cafe on February 8. Cheers…

Wheres the best place to buy the book? Dont really like amazon.

Full of admiration for those who do these thing unaided, sounds a top guy

Most bookshops - if not in stock, will order it. Or come to the Ace Cafe on Feb 8. I’ll have books with me to sign…
cheers:cool:

A couple of questions, what time are you going to be there, and will you be on your “adventure” bike?

Hi, Ill be at the Ace on Feb 8 from around 11 am to 5 pm. The bike is registered in Veracruz, Mexico, and refused to cross the Atlantic. Someone had told it of our grey winters. It now lives in a horse barn at my daughter’s home in Duchess County, NY and talks with the stallions of past exploits. I would post a picture here but can’t work out how - such is the stupidity of the elderly.
Hope to see you on the 8th.
Cheers…
