Advantage of being an oldgit

Just renwewed my insurance on the Busa £164.30 fully comp:D:cool:

WHAT??? I wish my insurance was that cheap.

me too. I always get stupid quotes from a majority of the companies out there. Approaching 4yrs no claims and they still want much more than that on my SV

You must be older than me rik you forgot to write anything :w00t::w00t::):hehe:

Blimey that’s cheaper than my 500cc.

Now that represents excellent, ahem, value for money…

I’ve just renewed mine, and I thought that I’d got a good price at £220 fully comp. Well done mate

I wish I could get fully comp under a grand! I’m a bit worried as my current insurer, Quinn Direct, are no longer insuring bikes outside of Northern Ireland and whether another insurer will be as cheap as they were. Went on one of those websites that compare the market and no one wanted to touch me mostly because I had a custom paintjob. Anyone know any good companies out there that would not break the bank? Wondering if I’ll have to sell my bike and buy a normal bike at the end of the year…

I have used Motorcycle Direct for the last three years, always beat any other quote:) Can’t comment on what they are like on dealing with a claim as I haven’t had to make one.

£126 fully comp on an R1100RT suits me sir

try bikeinsure/tv summat like that its a comparison one advertised on telly during races and its cheaper than gocompare.com

Cheers bud, will give them a try. Renewal’s not til December so got time just hope it’s not a case of having to sell at the end of the year.

Talking of insurance I’ve just got myself a couple of quotes as my policy is up for renewal. These ones made me chuckle!! :w00t::w00t::w00t: Although upping my compulsory excess to 500 quid did reduce the premium by 30 pounds !!!:hehe:

Give the bottom one a call. I’d love to hear their response if you told them they were the cheapest quote you’d had and were interested.

Damn! I thought my quotes were bad but never saw one for almost £100k, what’ve you got on your license or history to cause that?

I went to uni with a guy who crashed his brand new Nissan 200ZX on the motorway and caused a pile up causing a total bill of around £100k mark and no insurance company would touch him after that even on a micra!! :w00t::w00t:

Busa55 Where the f… do you live/work to get that quote?

I’m paying that for a boring (but good commute) 650 trail and I’m an aged, er… local government officer, with good insurance track record.

True I’ve got no advanced training, but 46 years without injury or serious loss should be worth something.

Kent:) bike garaged:), no advanced training:)

Must be an older git than me :D;)

you may well be right
