adjusted rear shock on my gixxer 750 k7 collar size about 67mm found ideal c spanner made by Ohlins fitted well, the spanner features two notches so you pull or push the locking rings round. purchased the spanner from PDQ in Taplow SL6 0LX at just under £10. check their website they do loads of stuff and tuning.
Sp. Preload.
well spotted, thank you, must try harder, lol.
How tight was the nut? You did it with the shock still installed I assume? Mine needed a chisel and a great big club hammer to turn it (tighter)
So did mine courtesy of “B” - he did a fantastic job, since then Julie has wimped out on every corner and my kidneys need urgent replacement. (from the punches she gives me)
Is this reasonable?
Mrs J is tollerant in more than most situations, would a kidney protecting belt be a useful addition to my armoury?
hi alex, the locking ring loosened with shock in situ with said spanner, handle length is about 8 inches.
Helps to turn with a lift of the back end. 3 pairs of hands I’d assume, (depending on the bike)
No centre stand then …
I simply pulls the Bonne’ up on the centre stand and the adjusters can be moved between all 5 positions by hand!
On a 750 K7…lol
