found a place that sells acf50 in bottles (1ltr = £30) i assume its the same as whats in the cannister right?
Looks like it… not sure how you’d apply it, maybe use one of those plastic spray bottles you get from garden centres ?

Just use an old Muc Off bottle.
It’s applied with a pressure gun, I’ve used the spray cans for the past few winters and found them great but I tend to use a little bit on a rag and do it every time I clean the bike. Problem is it only really gets in the easy to reach areas. If you have it done properly they get a real thin coating of it EVERYWHERE (except your brakes, natch!)
I know people who pay professionals to do it once a year before winter and then don’t wash the bike till spring and it always looks great afterwards.
Doing it yourself with the spray cans can get a bit messy imo, but still more than worth it.

At any rate I don’t think cans are that expensive and they last me ages so mehhh.
I just spray it on a paintbrush and paint it on these days.
About 13 quid the last couple of times I bought it, crazy smoke show from the exhaust downpipes after application too !

I’ve used the aerosol before but this time got the 1L and the hand pump. Much better although you did need to pump it regularly.
