You may be safer to eat your own food, raw, rather than chancing cooked food at The Ace :stuck_out_tongue: Last time I was in there, they couldn’t even fry a couple of eggs properly, they were really snotty.

It’s a shame , the Ace when it first re opened did okay cafe food …then it slowly became worse … Now it is

Fish and chips with mushy peas is very good and normally I don’t like fish.

the foods alright, its nothing to write home about but for about 10 quid i have a full plate of food and a pint in my hand, fair enough!

There’s nothing wrong with the Ace food, we’ve eaten there hundreds of times & not died yet. Also seen their deliveries arriving - boxes and sacks of fresh veg & not much frozen stuff. Their kitchen staff cook more from scratch than most places.

We’ve had some great meals there recently!

I don’t much care about the veggies , the meat products are poor, the sausages in particular , the eggs are never cooked properly , either over done or like a sneeze on the plate and the chips are terrible frozen oven things .

It’s ā€œbiker cafeā€, it’s supposed to be a bit ****.

that’s a good point.

just a shame it’s not priced as such

I always thought the pricing was steep for the food until I realised that I was actually paying for parking. Seems fair enough when you look at it that way.

Now that there is a proper cafe that does proper cafe food . I personally vouch for the liver, chips and egg . And the chips are proper chips made from potatoes !!! it’s only problem is it can get busy one certain days and you end up having to do a takeaway back to the workshopp .

OK food at a decent bike cafe, win win - in fact thats where im going for dinner now haha
