It’s part and parcell of doing that sort of thing!, if you use tools you more than likely to get injuried by them at somepoint… ok maybe being knocked on the head by one is abit outside the original thinking box but the guy seems to be taking it way too far!, its an accident!.
People like that are just annoying!.. when they do something in an atmosphere that has it hazards and they get accidently injuried they complain and moan. It’s like joining the Army and complaining about being shot at! :w00t:
I now kick msyelf for not taking legal action against one of my previous employees, I had paperwork and e-mails as proof about illegal stuff going on and abuse.
Shame… but I never though about milking it, could have made quite a bit of money… I could probably still do it as it was only in 2004 but I think I threw away all the proof.
Just to be in the clear they would have deserved it big time, they were scamming the government… so they were taking our TAX money.
Bad way of thinking my friend…you were happy enough to work (and so be involved in some way) and take their money…I assume you aren’t an Officer of the Crown ? There’s too much of this sh1t going around and none of it is good…Be thankful you were employed…bet they were glad to see the back of your attitude?
PS
What you are talking about isn’t called suing…it’s blackmail;)
Its to much of a grey area these days. I don’t agree with claiming and milking it just to make free cash. But if its genuine then I think the ‘victim’ should get what they can.
I’ve been in situations where I’ve got hurt but I just brush it off and get on with it cos the person who has done it has taken full responsibility. The one time I claimed was when I was side swiped by the Sainsburys lorry…but only cos the driver, who was aware of what happened, did a runner. Then it was sheer principle.
I used to serve in the RAF and when we did weapons/guard training before we went on guard duty, we used to get told not to stick our fingers over the nozzle where the round came out of and were advised on what way to point the rifle. One day one of the guys asked why the instructor was stating the obvious…the reply caused the whole class to laugh and suggest the ‘victim’ should have been sued by the military for being so ‘stoopid’. Basically, this person had been doing guard training and while out on the range practising their targeting they had held the rifle in a way that meant their left index finger was over the nozzle…and therefore shot the end off. First of all its nearly impossible to hold an L85 like that so they obviously knew what they were doing and were planning to make a claim and say they’d never been told in training not to do it. TIT!! They got a medical discharge, nice monthly pension for life and a couple of million pounds payout.
i think it depends on ‘how’ this accident happened. If some idiot acting like a fool sent me to hospital and i had to get stitches, i would definitley want compensation! On the other hand if it was just a plain accident then i guess suing is a bit extreme.
neah mate… was a lot deeper than that, they would get people in under false pretex, for example job interviews, they would make them do some “tests” and these tests were founded by the gov under numeracy and literacy courses. After they racked in millions they let go half the people without any pay off or anything. Also they were passing some seriously degrading e-mails about customers, mainly teh female ones of course. Bunch of dicks I tell you, I was very glad I got let go…
Trust me… it was really bad.
Only thing is at the time I didn’t know better, plenty of grounds to screw them over for something they deserved plenty…
