Looks more like an experiment to me. But then, odd things do happen on the other side of the pond. Personally, I always use my seat-belt. I guess it’s been a part of our culture long enough now that we take it for granted and belt-up. I imagine when it was all first introduced, people had a hard time using them.

Mind you air bags arent much safer! when I had my accident the airbag gave me a severe black eye, clobbered my glasses and badly burnt the inside of my arms! I was doing 30mph in teh crash so didnt get thrown far enough forward to head butt the steering wheel so the airbag actually did more harm to me than good!

You’d be surprised Jay, when I did my BikeSafe, the number of drivers I say quickly belting up once they saw there was a police rider present was amazing, she was riding an unmarked bike so it was probably more evident.
