Pootling up Waterloo Bridge Road and was approaching traffic lights at around 5 mph. Just started raining. Motorcycle Ambulance just pulls in front of me without looking so I have to grab fronts. Front tucks in and I go down. Broken indicator (new ones from Infinity in 5 minutes) and scraped fairing, which my wife says I can put a Bumblebee sticker on (bike is bright yellow)…
The rider asks if I am okay, I ask why he did not either indicate or look before pulling out! End of the day I’m fine and the bike just has a small scrape and will have nicer indicators. BUT it only has 3070 miles on the clocks, brand new (even if it is a 2002 model)! Boohoo. I may well try to get LB stickers tonight to cover the scrape and put a bumblebee sticker on the tail panels.
I’m fine, a slightly sore shoulder, to be expected since I landed on my elbow. But the hip armour and elbow armour definately did the job. No marks on engine casing or forks thankfully. Just on the fairing and I have now replaced the indicators with neater ones, and it does look nicer! Just a small sticker for the graze on the plastics and that is it sorted.
Big picture is that I walked away from it and am fine. I was having an absolutely brilliant ride up till then, but will have a brilliant ride home too.
