Some of you asked me, others might benefit from this.
After purchasing the whole lot of chinese crap I have finally discovered this one (and some others)

have you got a tracker on your Bike?

If you mention my name (Leo) when you purchase, he will know it is for a biker and will send you the correct product with all the set up as it should be.
I am not gaining anything out of this… so you don’t have to mention it for lucrative purposes.

Have you come across any that will send the data to my own server, rather than my needing to use someone else’s service? I’d envisage it having a data-capable SIM that I need to keep topped up, and it’ll just repeatedly punt data at my server.

Not sure…
you can call the guy and ask.
Mine is set to record a position every 20s (goes asleep when not moving) and doesn’t use more that 1.50 per month…
